Pirate101: New Class Houses, Yum-N-Ade, Gifting & More!

So, we have had MAJOR updates to the Pirate101 game. Boy, they keep acomin'.. Ain't they?! New class houses, transporters, mini games, gifting, yum-n-ade and more... All of the houses comes with a PvP Arena, just so you know!

The Swashbuckler is such an elegant house, you feel like you're on some peaceful island under the twilight sky. If you closed your eyes, you would swear that you can even feel the gentle breeze. On this beautiful island, there are a few secrets and a ship to discover!

The Witchdoctor is a beautifully made house. Pirate101 really have outdone themselves with this one. It's easily the most beautiful house out of all five. They have blended in the "reality" of the spiral with the fantasy of the Witchdoctor very well. It's just a stunning piece of work!

The Buccaneer House is .. Well, very Buccaney? This house has the most coolest interactives ever! There's so many things that you're liable to miss some! Don't worry, I'll point them out to you.

The Privateer is such an elegant house. It's very Marleybonish, but in a daytime setting. And gosh, is it beautiful and classy! You can see the lines so much better in the light and it's such an adorable little place. It's like a little town which is even cooler. It'd be awesome if we started getting houses that were like little towns that we can decorate and manage. I can already imagine a few shops of my own, building a few Yum stands, a few homes for the people who's working in my town.. Wait, I'm getting carried away! Back to the house...

The War Room!!

The Musketeer house is a house that actually reminds me of Minecraft. It looks like a house that could've been built there which is hilarious imo. Anyway, here you can play with cannons and guns and well, always be on defensive mode... It's a FORT!

You can actually use those guns to shoot the Armada puppets! Watch the spin and fall down, hehe.

So the house is built into a mountain or caves? Very cool!

Here you can always watch out for Armada ships!

YES, we can gift now!! 

 Along with new houses, we get class furniture!

All furniture set packs give the same thing for each class except different colors. For example, Swashbuckler's items comes in yellow and purple. Well, except for the couch which is purple and orange.

But if you can't afford the packs which can cost 22k gold (you can buy it for crowns too, but eh!), there's individual pieces and not so brightly colored class furniture in crown shop. There's even new fountains and mini games!

YAY, we can finally teleport! POOF POOF POOOOOOOF!

Feel down and lousy? Your Health Globe almost empty? Don't worry, talk to Ryan the Relentless in Skull Island who will fill you right up back to your hearty self! It's only 100 gold! :)

Well she can Unstitch now! Perfect for those items that you wanted to reuse, but not trash!

Now we have a SUPER SUPER SUPER fuel, the Long Term Boost Elixir. Guaranteed to last 10 hours! Errm.. I wonder if this will like pause when I get off the game. I mean 10 HOURS?! It's also 2500 crowns.. IDK if this one is practical, but hey who knows? Some of youse prob like to speed a lot and for a LONG time!

Ryan makes a Make-A-Wish visit to Pirate101!

Kvue.com News says: "An Austin-based, family-oriented gaming company got an unusual but gratifying request recently. KingsIsle Entertainment Inc. was asked to help make a young cancer patient's wish come true. They not only made his day, they made him a part of his favorite game forever."

Yes, they are putting in a new character in Pirate101 just for Ryan! Apparently tomorrow, Wednesday, we will meet Ryan the Relentless who is a Yum Potion vendor. What an amazing honor for an amazing young pirate.

New Pirate101 Class Housing?!

Today we saw new background pictures on the Pirate101 Game Launcher Window.
Soooo.. New class housing? New class furniture?

Guess we got to wait and see! :D

The Garden of the Hesperides

"The Garden of the Hesperides, Atlas' daughters, was Hera's orchard in the far western corner of the world, where either a single tree or a grove of trees bearing immortality-giving golden apples grew. So, instead of a hundred headed dragon, there's a two headed dragon. So, will we ever enter this area? Or it will be forever forbidden to us wizards? Will it eventually turn into a Level 100 Dungeon? Or is it just for looks? Do you think we'll also see it in Pirate101? Or will this garden be solely only in Wizard101? Time will tell. Having dragons staring at us when we enter Wizard101's Aquila is tough to ignore. Although, a golden apple does sound juicy...

You know, Immortality might sound good, but imagine never growing old and seeing everything repeat itself and seeing all of the bad as well as the good. It would wear you down eventually. It could also make you feel arrogant and cocky which would make you want to put yourself above others. So Immorality is not always a good thing.

Snow White and the Huntsman

Suddenly I think of Snow White and the poisoned red apple. Then I realized that in paintings of Adam & Eve, they look like they are eating apples too. In Greek Tales, golden apples gave you immorality. In Fairy Tales, it was poison. In Biblical Tales, it was knowledge and temptation. Hmm, you see where I'm going?

Red Riding Hood

It's reminding me of the Red Riding Hood story with the wolf in grandma's clothes. Or as we all know this idiom, "Wolf in a Sheep's clothes".. Obviously the Apple is the "wolf in a fruit's clothes" in certain stories.

So are apples really bad? No. It's just interesting that it has been mentioned quite few times throughout history. Apparently, it's just a very popular fruit! It is one of the most widely cultivated tree fruits of all time. It actually originated in Central Asia, which then spread to Europe and other areas. It has been grown for thousands of years and even were brought to North America by European colonists. Actually China is still the leading producer of Apples, believe it or not. United States comes in second.

Actual Golden Apples (and no it's not the metal gold)

Apples also symbolized love. In Ancient Greece, apples were considered sacred to Aphrodite. So if you threw an apple at someone, you were declaring your love. And if you caught it, you were saying that you were accepting it. So no, apples don't always get a bad rap in myths or fables.

However, thinking all of this and the specific Golden Apples in the Garden of the Hesperides story..  If we had to fight into that garden, would you really still walk in, pluck a Golden Apple off its tree and eat it? What do you think? Is Immortality really worth it?

Aquila Has Arrived Into Wizard101!

Yes, a piece of Aquila has come to Wizard101!

To start your brand new quests to get there, talk to Cyrus Drake, the Myth school teacher.. In fact, once you complete each dungeon, you have to return to Cyrus to get another quest to unlock the next dungeon until you complete all three. Hope you don't get sick of running to Cyclops Lane LOL!

Mt. Olympus is for Level 30+ and it ends with the final god; Zeus.

There's also a side boss in this dungeon that drops a cute Shield and Sword pet.

The Pedigree on this pet is WRONG. 

The pet page below is correct.

Atlantea is for Level 70+ and it ends with the final god: Poseidon.

In Atlantea, there is a Secret Boss in a side chamber named Sand Squid Tentacle that drops the Harpy Pet!

The third and final dungeon is for Level 90+ and it ends with all THREE gods;

Hades, Zeus and Poseidon

Be Warned.. Zeus and Poseidon are much stronger than in the previous dungeons.

Chronius is the Secret Boss in the Tartarus dungeon. We do not know what pet he drops.. Yet!

I won this in the battle with Chronius. A lightning bolt staff! WOOT!

You will get so many different kinds of staffs and gears that it's mindblowing.

You'll love it!

A NEW FARMING SPOT FOR SPELLS!

The Loremaster is found in the Dragonspyre Library in the Athenium. She drops all craftable spells. PLUS one new spell! It's actually Loremaster's own spell! 

Loremaster Spell: Balance, 4 Pips, 390-479 Balance Spell and - 20% Damage, -35% Accuracy.

She is pretty easy to defeat. All you got to do is go there and you will be able to talk to her and she's instantly open. No quest needed.

I sent Morganthe an letter by begging a spider, a source I cannot name for safety reasons, to deliver to her. Imagine my surprise, when a spider crawled into my room carrying a message from her. For some lucky reason, she allowed me to interview her. She felt that it was time to speak to the spiral because she wanted every wizard to know who she is and what she is all about.

1 - So how did you get so experienced at spinning webs?
-Well, I do not spin webs exactly. My precious, lovely pets do under my command of course. It's like music, I direct them and they do what I ask them to.

2 - Why do you like the spider, webs, etc type of theme? What makes it so attractive to you?
-Don't you know that spider web can be turned into silk if properly done? Imagine an ugly, dark creature that everyone hated produced something dangerous, but beautiful? Spider web can be your cocoon grave, but at the same time, be turned into beautiful silk clothes. That just speaks to me. I am a dark creature who can produce something dangerous, but beautiful. Now that's power!

3 - What's the name(s) of your spider pets? They're positively creepy.
-My favorite is Bane. He has this lovely white diamond shape on his belly. He also is quite devoted to me. I nursed him back to health after finding him slightly damaged. Apparently some wizard tried to kill him. Poor thing, he was so traumatized. Once fully healed, he wouldn't leave me. In fact, Bane is my very first spider pet. There's also Webby... He is not.. right in the head. He's an runt spider. His older brothers and sisters would just run over him and made it hard for him to survive. But under my guiding hand, he has flourished!

4 - Who designed your outfit? It's super cute!
-Ah yes, my precious pets have made this outfit for me, their precious queen. Like I said, spider silk is better than gold, it can be turned into precious silk that made this outfit! It's one of a kind too. Not like the... thing... you're wearing.

5 - What do you think of Malistaire? Like really? After all he was the one before you trying to destroy the spiral and failed.
-*scoffs* Compared to me, he was a weakling. Even in the end, he was still a weakling. His wife was able to bring him over to the good side. That man had no commitment to the end, not like me. I will see my commitment to the end one way or another.

6 - How do you think up those plans to destroy us?
-Why, all I have to do is imagine and it comes true. In hazy dreams, I see it all planned out and I make sure that my dreams comes true. I will not fail!

7 - So tell us about you. What are your passions and dreams?
-Revenge fuels my passion. And my dreams are of destroying everything that Merle Ambrose loved... EVERYTHING.

8 - What are your hobbies?
Oh I also like to knit. Sometimes I like to make spider silk blankets, they're quite soft and warm actually. Spider silk socks are to die for. Really!

9 - Please help us understand why you destroyed Azteca?
-All good things have to come to an end, dear. It was their time to fade into history and my time to take over history and shine.

10 - What's your favorite world?
-It's hard to say to be honest. I love all dark worlds. The darker, the grubbier they are, the better. Sunken City was pretty nice, Darkmoor even more lovelier, well there're more, but I rather not to give away any secret locations.

11 - Who are your parents? There's no mention of them so far.
-*sigh* They do not matter. My origin is not the most important thing of me. The only thing you need to know is that I rose from the dusty bookshelves of Wizard City and dominated everyone's dreams with fear. *evil cackle* Merle Ambrose will regret ever laying his eyes on me! Homework, lessons.. BAH! He never understood me. The real world is out there!

12 - What made you decide to travel the path you're on right now?
-Darling, that's the kind of stuff that belongs in the past, yes? What is important is what we do today and tomorrow.

13 - How did you conjure up the dead Malistaire?
-My, my you would love to know, don't you? *soft chuckle* No one is allowed to know my secrets. Especially that one. *winks*

14 - Do you really think your plans will succeed?
-Aw, were you hoping for some doubts? I do not have any doubts... at all. All of you will rue the day you met me. I can promise you that.

15 - Any regrets?
-That I didn't start this line of work so much earlier. I didn't realize how satisfying it feels to watch Merle Ambrose and his precious wizards fail at every turn.

Lastly, where's your next stop on your journey after Azteca?
-Would you like to know? Yes I think you do. But *evil cackles* you will find out eventually! I do love surprises, don't you?

Pirate101 Skyways Interview Series: Boochbeard

I was able to pass on word to various pirates in pubs all over the place that I wanted to interview Boochbeard. I was glad to get word back that he was willing to sit down and have a chat with me. So off I went to a Tavern and sat down with him. It was a lovely afternoon just shooting the breeze and chatting. Gandry tagged along, but sat in his chair all stony silent, refusing to join in.

1) So why were you named Boochbeard? What does Booch mean? Were you born with a beard?
-*laughs loudly* No, no, I was born beardless. It's when I grew a beard and became a pirate, I was named Boochbeard. As for "Booch", I honestly have no idea why they named me that, but it sounded nice, so I decided to use the name. I mean, why not? *guffaws*

2) How did you become a pirate?
-Oh, like how all of the pirates do. They get tempted by a bit of gold and become one by seizing a ship laden with riches. *guffaws*

3) What dessert do you like?
-Yum Cream Pie! *lips smacking* Now that I could eat every day for every meal!

4) When you're not entertaining others with your interesting personality, where do you go?
-Oh I travel all over the place, trade, find loot and do all sorts of shady things. *chuckles*

5) Tell me, what worlds do you like the best?
-Oh gosh, that's hard to say really. *pulls on his beard slowly* Well, honestly, Skull Island is probably my favorite because it's my homebase! It's where I grew up and learned how to be a pirate!

6) What's your favorite color? Why?
-Color? Hmm, I haven't thought of that. Maybe red? I mean even my jacket is red! It looks quite lovely on me. *chuckles*

7) So I've been hearing reports of you holding late night chats with Catbeard. What are you up to lately? Anything we should know?
-Oh ho ho ho, that's something you shouldn't know. But I guess I can say that it's one of those shady things we pirates do!

8) Where's your ship moored at?
-Oh, here and there. I'm never in one place too long!

9) So do you know anything about El Dorado? Any secrets?
-Ah, not everyone knows much about that place. Not even me. As you know, it's a mythical place. Sometimes I think that it's not even real. But I guess you pirates are set out to prove that it's real though, right? *winks* Well, I wish you all the best with it. It's a hard road to go down on.

10) What do you think of wizards?
-Wizards.. They are such strange people. Magic? I don't understand magic. You don't learn anything by summoning things at the snap of your fingers. I understand hard work and none of that hoodoo! Yes, I turned out fantastic because I did the hard work. You'll learn to appreciate things better that way too! Wizards.. *Shakes head, mutters*

11) I saw you in Cool Ranch, watching Tyson's fights. Where will you be at next?
-Oh I'm not sure where I'm heading to next and if you'll be there next. But yes, I saw you at the Tyson fight. Boy, when you did that uppercut, I was so proud!

12) Where are you from, my glib friend?
-I honestly don't know. Not all pirates have the best beginnings!

13) So do you even have a last name?
-Not a clue! *laughs* Not that pirates needs one anyway!

14) Are you friends with Avery? How did you guys become friends if so? Any interesting stories?
-Friends, ah.. Let's term that loosely. We do know of each other. I'm an independent pirate. And Avery is.. Avery. Let's just say that he needed something and the best person to get it was me!

15) What's your favorite Yum flavor? Mine is grape!
-Mine's cherry! *lips smacks* It's so delicious! Gandry likes banana of course. I don't get that. *shakes head* *shrugs* You know monkeys.

Lastly, is there anything you want other pirates to know?
-Just keep your sails full at all times, you never know when a new adventure pops up! *guffaws*

How to Save Money For Wizard101 or Pirate101

It's the summer time and you wanna play Pirate101 or Wizard101. But your wallet is empty, so what can you do? Here's a few choices you could do to earn a membership or a crown package. Or even a game card?!

HOW TO SAVE OR EARN REAL MONEY TO PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP OR CROWNS

1 - Save your Dimes and Pennies.. Especially QUARTERS!

If you have any change lying around, put it in a Piggy Bank. YES A PIGGY BANK! Or at least some storage box. Empty out your drawers, pockets and weird places you might dump things in. Even under the couch cushions!

My brother had a mug glass filled with dimes, pennies, nickels and even quarters. The more quarters, the better. It actually gave him over $50 per mug. Could be more than that depending how many quarters were in it. Think about it, 4 quarters is a dollar compared to 100 pennies!

2 - Allowance

When receiving your allowance, set aside a few dollars each time for the game only. It's never too early to learn how to budget.

Got tons of soda cans? Recycle them! Yes they add up. And hey you're helping reduce your carbon footprints which in turn helps the planet. Now that's multi-tasking!

4 - Odd Jobs

Yes, you heard it, ODD jobs. Cut the lawn for someone, help people rake up leaves, just small jobs around the neighbor that can fetch you a nice buck or two (or more!) You can even negotiate with your parents about doing odd jobs for them as well.

"Yes mom, I can cut the lawn for a dollar. HEY THAT'S A SWEET DEAL!"

If you save up wisely, you can get a Wizard101/Pirate101 Game Card from any store that is listed on their site. The cheapest is only TEN bucks! It gives you either 5,000 Crowns or 1 month sub.

5 - Set Up A Lemonade Stand ... Or something!

Yes, a lemonade stand. Or you can create t-shirts and sell them. My aunt used to make tye dye shirts and sell them in college. There's oodles of ideas you can do or make on the internet!

HOW TO STRETCH THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!

1 - Watching for Sales

If you want to purchase a membership or a crown package, just wait for their sale. You can save a lot of money that way. For instance, the Crown Sale can save you TWENTY bucks! Patience pays off very well.

As Rony mentioned, you can win packs, various kinds of potions like the energy potion for example, furniture, so forth. This can help you stretch your crowns or simply have it as an option.

4. Other Methods

Even Greyrose mentioned that most Crown items that can be purchased in the spiral can be acquired by other methods such as crafting, arena tickets or buying with gold.

It is best to be patient and spend your time and money wisely. I know it's hard when you're tempted to buy other things. But commitment is the key to saving money for what you want in the long run. If you're committed enough, you can succeed!

Remember, always consult with your parents before doing anything that I suggested. They know better what you are capable of and what's safe for you.
